Vater (Color)
“Vater” is a unique presentation of the hepatic and pancreaticobiliary system. The liver is the largest glandular organ of the human body and detoxifies, regenerates, and functions in over 200 ways to benefit our body. The Ampulla of Vater is the location where the pancreatic and biliary ducts release their secretions into the intestine. This was commissioned by a physician who requested the liver, pancreas, and biliary tree to be highlighted.
The original “Vater” is 18” x 24” and was made over three days and 18 hours in January 2020 when I was in my fellowship year in Hospital Medicine in Safety and Quality.
